From our Facebook

I have the most wonderful readers. Positive reviews like this one don't just make my day, they make my whole week. Thank you!
'I have just finished reading your wonderful book "From Here To Maternity". As a parent of four easily achieved children I had no concept of the challenges others faced. Watching our first daughter struggle to conceive and maintain a pregnancy was difficult; thankfully after 2 years their beautiful baby boy arrived. Then to watch our second daughter and her husband experience an even greater challenge to conceive … The numerous failed IVF attempts, the emotional and financial strain on them and the huge impact it has had on all our family in many ways has greatly impacted us all. My daughter’s mother-in-law gave them "From Here To Maternity" several months ago. I will be eternally grateful to her, for through reading your book my daughter was able to recognise their journey was not unique. We have gained a greater understanding of the path our children are walking.
Thank you for having the courage to write about such a personal subject.'

From our Facebook

I have just finished reading your book and couldn't wait to get to the "happy ending" I knew it would have.
My daughter & son in law have been doing IVF and now have one beautiful daughter. Although I am privy to their journey I now feel so much more empathy for what they have gone through & continue to endure.
Thank you for having the courage to open up in such a public way in order to help others to understand the issues.
I am so grateful for my easy journey and now am aware of the difficult journeys others have to make to fulfil their dreams.
You are definitely talented in translating your experiences onto paper and I hope that (if you want to) you have a successful life as a writer. Kind regards
LS.

Your manuscript took me on a journey that I will never forget. It is an open, honest, devastating, raw and yet inspiring account - and
in between all that, it not only made me laugh, but take stock of what it really means to be 'family'.
Wow - thank you. It's brilliant, and you have done something very special.

A joyful and uplifting book. Written from the heart, Kylie shares the highs and lows of her complex journey to parenthood. Whether you’re struggling with IVF, adoption, or simply getting to grips with the prospect of parenthood, this book will inspire you to keep on going.
Bravo!

From a listener of News Talk 6PR 882 with Garry Adshead.
I heard your interview on 6PR regarding adoption. I am 76 years of age and I can honestly say I have never heard a more educated view nor more eloquently put. Your 2 sons can consider themselves two of the most fortunate kids in Australia. Your story was enthralling and I couldn't wait to get home to share the experience with my wife. Having discussed the matter with her I decided I should congratulate you , and your husband , on your persistence and the decision you made to adopt .
Listening to you made my day.
Thank you.

This book is not just for people who are struggling with infertility; it is for anyone who is striving to reach a desired goal. Kylie’s writing is an impassioned account of her determination to experience motherhood and her tenacity and courage are an inspiration to all. Kylie writes candidly about the times when all hopes were dashed and the prospect of motherhood seemed inaccessible. She speaks of her husband Glenn’s immeasurable support for her and how their relationship survives adversity to triumph in successful parenthood of two gorgeous boys. Kylie’s writing style makes this book very easy to read.

Kylie has articulated so wonderfully the heartache and struggle of infertility that is so often kept to oneself making it such a lonely experience.

Irene Cooke was kind enough to post this review on Amazon.
This book is an honest account of Kylie's journey to becoming a family. It is not only about infertility and adoption, but of all the emotions people go through when having a family. It made be cry, it made me laugh, but overall it left me feeling joy! The ups and downs to get to the end result were well worth it! A very easy read.

A heart felt thank you to Liz Perrella for this review on Amazon.
This is a beautifully written, honest and engaging account of infertility, IVF and adoption. As a result of my own difficulties in achieving a family, I have read numerous books on this subject. This is definitely my favourite book by far. Infertility can at times be a lonely and frustrating journey and it is wonderful to be able to read a book which you can relate to and most importantly, provides hope that a happy ending is a possibility. It is such an easy and enjoyable read. A must for anyone experiencing infertility and for the family and friends who would like to understand what that person is going through.
